Seasons greetings and all that Jazz :]

Hope you all had a fantastic holiday!

Just a little notice: Sorry for the lack of updating on here! I have been insanely busy with uni, working, shooting and studying over the last few months and it isn't going to ease up any time soon! I have started using Tumblr for little bits an pieces (mainly images I am unable to post on Facebook and pictures of cake :p). Some please follow me there and show some love by re-blogging my shiteI am also in the process of building my own proper website from scratch which is also going to incorporte and interactive blog (so as everything will be in one place, making my life a lot easier!) Therefor I will no longer be blogging on LiveJournal. However I will be keeping this blog archived - and I shall post up my new blog location once it is all sorted :) As I am designing and coding it all myself, it is going to take a fair bit of time. But hopefully I shall have it sorted with in the next couple of months.

Hope everyone has a fab new year!

Light Rays, XML and Cakes ^_^

Here is the first image back from my second shoot with Scott Chalmers:

Latex Collar: Violaceous Latex
Corset: What Katie Did

The effect is soley down to Scott's rather awsome skills with a smoke machine, gels and lights. Just thought I'd mention that :p As people seem to think effects like this are often aftificial! There are plenty more to come and some shineys from the rest of the Violaceous Latex goodies Annabelle sent me to shoot too :] I shall post these once I get them ^_^

The shoot was also filmed as part of my mate Andy's uni media project - so watch this space! I think the actual video he is producing for his project is more like a documentary informative type affair but he is kindly going to do me a more 'jazzy' cut up video clip for you lot to see :)

Here is a little sneaky peak screen cap for now:

Currently I am trying to balance a lot of uni classes and work on top of a normal job and modelling, which is leaving me little time to do anything else (and is also why there have been such long gaps between me updating - sorry!) I am currently learning how to mark up documents and databases using XML and to write my own DTD's and Schemas. I like to do my bit for proving that not all models are thick as two bricks ^_^

Consequently I currently have my head stuck in this:

#GEEK!

I have also been getting back into backing again regularly. And this afternoon shall be no exception! I went a bit mad yesterday when let loose in ASDA and realising I possesed some money (good old housing benefit!) and have now aquired about 7 different food colourings. Hello rainbow cupcakes!

Here are a few of the deliceous things I have made thus far:

OM NOM NOM! )

I am off to London tomorrow for my first photoshoot for UGLY. *excited face* I am still stuck with what to wear though ... it's mainly images for their 2011 books and the website. After that I shall be heading to Old Street for an interview to be on Dating in the Dark (after being approached by one of their producers) - this should be a good bit of shits & giggles if I actually do go on the show ^_^ I am TV illiterate (I don't have one) but after fiding out from those who are more friendly with the televisual box thingy, we figured it would be pretty comical viewing to stick a bald, latex clad panda girl in a dark room with some un-suspecting bloke!

Latex Steampunkery and New Website!

Image: Scott Chalmers
Latex: Lady Lucie
Except Bow Belt: Jane Doe
Corset: What Katie Did

The first from ym shoot last Monday with Scott Chalmers. The rest will be posted up in due course :)
I have now started working at the Orange Rooms - the people are lovely, the hours not so much! I don't usually get to bed till 3/4am so my sleeping pattern is taking a battering. I have inductions for uni later on this week too :D Lectures start next week - which I am thoroughly looking forward too - as my braincells are feeling somewhat lathargic and idle at the moment.

I also have my website up and running now after 48 hours of staring at my computer screen! I decided to be produtive all weekend whilst suffering from a nasty cold. Bloody Freshers >.<

Anyhows, my new website can be found here: www.helene-atsuko.com. If you have any suggestion about how I could improve it, or spot any broken links please let me know! Also if any of yous are a wiz with photoshop then feel free to make some banners for my site :D You shall be credited of course ^_^

Right, time for more tea, and preferably a shower, as I smell like a brewery, and not a good one!

Mmm New Latex & Devolution Mag Feature

This morning I awoke at the crack of sparrow's fart in excited anticipation for the arrival of the post man who would be delivering my new order of latex from Lady Lucie ^_^ I bought a black bow halter neck top and a pair of 3/4 length leggings with pewter stripes running down them. This is my last extravogant latex purchase for a good while now (what with being a poor student again!) So I though I best grab myself a latex top (which for some reason I seem to be very short off!) and some shorter leggings for comfortable clubbing atire.

I was also featured in the August/September issue of Devolution Magazine which is a UK run alternative/goth/metal/punk/art mag :) It's taken me till now to get my pc up and running again and being friends with my scanner - hence the somewhat long delay!

There was also a small picture of myself in Bizarre Magazine's mini-mag from Sonisphere Festival (UK) this summer :)

And here is a golden oldie from Bizarre Magazines first 'Bizarre Girls' book. The image was taken back in 2008 and was one of my first shoots. I even have hair in it!

And Lucie kindly sent me some of the flyers for this years London Fetish Weekend :) It's kinda cool to see my mug in print :D

The Entertainer

I am featured in this months The Entertainer (issue 3, September 2010) in a feature about the wonderful Ghoulia's Peculiars.

I am at the bottom right, wearing a wig of course :p I do look different. It reminds me of when I was a little teenage Goth at school! Was muchos fun to model something so different though :)

In other news, I am settling into my new house well. Currently arranging some shoots and dealing with the delights of paper work and the Job Center :/ The former = Very fun. The later = Urgh. I start my MSc in a few weeks too - really looking forward to it!

TG, Thorp Park & Life Things

Ride Duration: 121 secs
Length or Track: 762m
Maximum Velocity: 77kmph
G'force: Positive 4.5g

Capturing the look on your face as you fly past: Priceless!

I am now a converted rollercoaster addict thanks to Emily Grieve! I entered Thorp Park going 'there is no fucking way you are going to get me to go on that', having avoided rollercoasters that go upside down for the last 23 years of my life! This was shortly followed by Emily getting me to go on Colossus first thing (she didn't tell me it had 10 loop-the-loops till I was so far down the queu I could not escape!) I love speed. I don't like my head being thrown about as though someone is trying to scramble my brain. I actually didn't mind the loops upside down, but the cork-screws are horrific, and the worst bit ironically was no the being upside down bit, but the fact that my head got bashed about a lot. I had apparently 'survived the worst one' so went skipping off to SAW and Nemesis, both of which I loved far more than Colossus as they are a hella lot faster and don't bash you about as much!

I have spent a week in my new house in Southampton now and am nearly all settle in. Just have one last trip up to Sheffield this weekend to pick up a few items and see my nan. My room is small but cosey. And I have the best housemates anyone could ask for :D Cat is very much like me, we both love Stitch (the little blue alien creature!) pretty much all the same music and I now have a buddie for the 8am crawl back home from nights spent out at TG! Dave is like a kid with Macarno if you give him IKEA flat pack furniture (I came back from TG last weekend with Cat to find he had assembled £200 worth of furniture for us!) and Tally makes the best curries! We are a house full of crazy. Good crazy. But all the same, definatelty fucking crazy.

Had a great night working at TG last Saturday too. Amy had made the most beautiful outfits! Haven't yet found any good photos from the show, but here is a nifty little video for your viewing pleasure here. It's been loaded onto Facebook so there is no code to embed it. Hope the link works!

I had the most amazing makeup done by Kimi.

And here are a few pictures from later on with miss Lady Lucie and Jane, with my make-up still pretty much in one place somehow!

And the lovely Adreena ^_^

Myself, Daf and Laura :)

I appear to have been a camileon that night, changing my outfit about three times!

I best actually go get dressed out of my pj's now and think about getting my ass to Brighton in time for the epic car ride up to Sheffield. I hate car rides. Travel Sickness fail!

Moo!

This morning the post man delivered my shiney new modelling business cards from moo.com!

This is the second lot I have ordered from them. The quality is excellent and they are still very reasonably priced. I opted for the full sized cards this time around (last time I got the mini cards, which although were very cute, did cut off a lot of the image). The full size cards are definately better suited to showing off my shiney bald bonce!

So hopefully now I will remember to always have some on me so as I am never caught short out and about, usually at a club/show, drunkently trying to find a pen and paper!

So now I'm off to pack up the last of my stuff and catch the train over to Southampton. My parents are bringing all my stuff over tomorrow, followed by a quick trip to IKEA, then I'm straight off to London to work at Torture Garden. It's going to be a very hectic weekend! Not sure when I will be back up and running on the internet. I do have my phone, but trying to write journals on mobile internet isn't the easiest thing to do!
